The day after Thanksgiving we started getting all of our Christmas stuff out! In the past Todd and I would have it up and perfect by that Friday night even with squeezing in a little shopping that day! Well things have changed now with a toddler! Even though it took a little longer it was the best time I have had putting up the decoration since I was little! It was so fun to see the excitement that McKenna would get every time we would pull out a new ornament or decoration. She would say "that's so cute!" at everything that would come out of the storage bin. She got so excited with the tree. She still squeals with joy everytime we turn the lights on on the tree! Mimi and grandad got her a Mickey and Minnie ornament since she loves them so much. She got to put those on the tree and was so proud of her great job! She loves her ornaments. She also helped with some of the other non breakable ones too. Knock on wood she is doing really good with looking at the ornaments and not trying to pull them all off!
She also loved getting out the nativity. We have been talking about Christmas being Jesus birthday. She looks at our big nativity and tell everyone good morning and hello. She labels them all - baby Jesus even the shepherds and wise men. My mom found a Little People's toy nativity for McKenna and she was so excited to have her own nativity that she can touch and play with. She has Mary take care of the baby. And she like to set them all up in the stable. It is so cute to watch! Here are a few pics!
