Spring at the Arboretum!
Last month McKenna and I went with our friends Carol and Jake to Dallas Blooms at The Dallas Arboretum! We just love the arboretum! It is just so pretty and relaxing and so much fun! McKenna loved it. She loved running everywhere in the open areas. She also loved trying to pick the flowers. After I told her that they will make us go home if we pick the flowers she didn't pick them anymore. That would be my luck....getting kicked out of the arboretum because my child won't stop picking the pretty flowers! She also loved the fish pond. I think that she would have stayed there all day just looking at the fish. McKenna and Jake had fun feeding them goldfish. Something isn't quite right about feeding goldfish "goldfish" crackers but they liked them! She used so much energy and had so much fun that she fell asleep in the car. I sure wish the arboretum was closer and we would go everyday if it would make her nap since she is no longer wanting to take naps!! Enjoy the pictures!

Hmmmmmm....
The fish were the best!

McKennas 1st Rough Riders Game!
About a month ago we took McKenna to her first Rough Riders game! (remember....I am still trying to play catch up!) She had such a great time. My aunt and uncle had 4 tickets that they gave to us so Todd, McKenna, my parents and I all went! We had a great time! McKenna loved the mascots, duce and daisy, and couldn't wait until they came back out. She also loved cheering and chanting along with the crowd. For those of you that haven't been to a Rough Riders game they are great!! They are much smaller than the major league games which was great for McKennas first baseball game! It was nice weather too and we all had such a great time and can't wait to go again!
Having a great time!

Possum Kingdom Lake
Back in April we took McKenna to the lake house at Possum Kingdom for the weekend. This was her first trip there and she had so much fun! We went there with Amma and Afi and it was so nice to get away and relax (well as much as you can with a 2 year old at the lake!) It was a good change of scenery for me atleast! She had so much fun out on the deck and looking at the fish and the ducks. We took a day trip to Grahm too and walked around their downtown square and saw a movie in their old fashioned movie theater. It was a fun weekend and hopefully we will do it again soon!! Here are some pictures from the fun weekend!
This is so much fun!
A new found love....dandelions!

The wiggles!
McKenna loves The Wiggles! She always has. We have this CD that she knows how to turn on in the playroom and everyday we just dance away to the wiggles. Well in Frisco there is this awesome place called The Wiggles Playhouse. We went for the first time a couple of months ago. My sweet friend Tiffany came and picked us up since that was during the time I couldn't drive and we went with them there. She has two kids that McKenna just adores. Cade who is 5 1/2 and Landry that is just 2 months younger than McKenna. At the playhouse there are bounce houses, slides and play areas. Everyday at 11 one of the characters comes out and does some dancing with the kids. This is McKennas favorite part. This time was Wags the Dog. (We have been since then and it was Dorothy the Dinosaur. McKenna keeps saying that we need to go and dance with Henry the Octopus so I am sure that we will be doing that soon!) Notice that McKenna is front row! At one time she even got up on the stage with Wags and was dancing away. She loved it!!

Easter Day!
Yes, I know Easter was months ago but I am finally making a goal to get back into this blogging thing. As many of you know I have been dealing with some health issues and blogging has just had to go to the back burner for a while but I am going to try and catch up. I want to share our fun times with everyone but I also want to do this for McKenna and to help me when I finally can get caught up on her scrapbook or I may forget all of the fun times and cute things McKenna does. So I am going to try and make it a priority at least once a week.
So..... Easter day was great!! It was our first Sunday to visit a new church and we have been going there ever since. We were so sad and torn to leave our friends at our other church but Todd and I just felt for several reasons that we should start looking around especially for McKenna. The Ridge has been such a blessing to all of us. That Easter Sunday we took McKenna into her class. She was a little hesitant at first but when we came to pick her up she wouldn't leave!! When we finally got her out she said "I like this church!" From then I knew this was a good decision. She talked all day about it and about Penny and Coach (the puppets from the puppet show)
For lunch we went to Mimi and Grandads. (She told them all about how much fun she had at church) She had a great time with Caleb and still loves holding him! Here are some picture from the day. (FYI....I am not in any pics (and won't be for a while!) b/c it was this weekend that I thought I had pink eye b/c my eye was so red....man do I wish that it had only been pink eye!)
