Bath Time fun!!

Last week Todd was out of town and Katie and Josh were on a mission trip so my parents had Caleb! So McKenna and I hung out with them quite a bit! One night we put them in the bath together and they had a BLAST!! There was water all over the place afterwards but they had fun and we had so much fun watching them!! Thank goodness my parents aren't "those type" that get stressed with kids messes in their house because it sure was a mess after the bath! We had a great few days with them and did so many fun things too. Here are some of the pictures from the bath time fun!!!

They had a BLAST!!

McKenna got several splashes to the face!!

It is so sweet how much they truly love each other!!!

Caleb wouldn't stop splashing!

Look at that face!

McKenna started to get a little revenge!

Big 12 Championship game!

On Saturday Todd, McKenna and I took and impromptu road trip! Baylor made the Big 12 championship game and it was in Oklahoma City. Since OU and OSU were out there were a lot of tickets for cheap so we decided to take advantage of it and go! McKenna and I had spent the past two weeks pretty much cooped up in the house with her surgery and all so it was a good trip to be able to get out of the house and go cheer on our Baylor Bears! Sadly Baylor lost but we still had a good time and are very happy for them that they made it that far! McKenna had a blast! She was very excited to go on a road trip but about 45 minutes into it she started asking "are we there yet?" She loved the game and all of the action! The whole way up were were working on our AAAAAA...sic em bears and our go Baylor go!!! She was great at the game cheering them on! She also loved the cheerleaders and would try and copy their dances when they would dance. It was SOOO cute! At the end they had confetti go everywhere when they presented Missouri with the trophy....McKenna loved this part and collected a ton of "sprinkles" (that is what she called the confetti. Even a sweet little lady gave her a zip lock bag to keep them in! She was very proud of her "sprinkles!" We drove back that night after the game and McKenna slept the whole way home! She had a big, fun day!! Here are some pictures from the trip!

Fun day with Caleb!

A couple of weeks ago we had a great time keeping our little Caleb! He is getting so big and McKenna is having so much fun playing with him! He is getting to that age where he can play more with her now so she is loving it! It was a beautiful day so we played alot at the sand table. McKenna still just loved this sand table. My parents got this for her for her 2nd birthday and it is still a favorite of hers! This was Calebs first time at it and he LOVED it!!! Here are some fun pictures of the two of them!

They both had a great time!

So serious about their sand play!

McKenna was so patient and good with Caleb even when he tried to keep taking her sand!

We even had some team action going on!

McKenna's Big Girl Bed!!

McKenna is now in a big girl, full size bed! We moved her into this the night before her accident. This is just another example of God's perfect timing. He knew that we needed her to be in that bed when her fall happened because for a good two weeks after it I needed to sleep with her because she kept waking up and had a very hard time sleeping because of the pain she was in. With this new bed I was able to do that.
Even though she was very excited about her bed I was still a little worried how she would do in it but she did great. She slept in it all night and didn't even get up! She is also so proud of her bed. The past couple of weeks we have had alot of people come by to visit her and the first thing she wants to do is show them her big girl bed! She is so proud of it! Here are a few pics from the first night!

Caleb helped McKenna test out her new bed!

So excited...and for once she was kind of excited about going to bed!

Playing possum!

Sleeping like a baby!! (I was so afraid that the flash would wake her up but I just had to get a picture!!)

Our little duck pond!

Right by McKenna's little school is this duck pond! It has become a favorite of ours! Many days after school we will stop by to feed the ducks! Here are some fun pictures from one of our trips!

Ready with her bread!
Sweet girl puts all shes got into the duck feeding stuff!

Trying to get the bread right too them!

Such a happy girl!

Finding sticks is another favorite to do at the duck pond!

Playing catch up!! - Valentines Day

Okay I know that Valentines day was over a month ago but like I have said before my blog is the only way that I will ever be able to catch up with my scrapbook so I want to be able to document everything so when I am working on her 3 year old book when she is 20 I will know what we did and when we did it!!
McKenna had a great Valentines Day! She has really started to understand it more especially since she had a little Valentines party at her school and they gave Valentines to each other! McKenna woke up to a little Valentine gift from Todd and I. One thing we got her was the Tinkerbelle DVD and a princess blanket and pillow so she could have a fun and comfy movie night! She loved them! For lunch that day Mimi and Granddad took us and Katie, Josh and Caleb to lunch at Maggianos! One of our favorites! She had more Valentines to open there too!! That night Mimi and Granddad had McKenna spend the night so Todd and I could go out with two wonderful couple friends of ours to a nice dinner! We all had a great day!! Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day too!!

Opening her gift!

She loved all of her Valentines!

She and Caleb loved coloring!

McKenna's accident

Sorry for the lack of posts but as most of you know McKenna had a pretty bad accident that ended up with her needing surgery this past week. She is doing so much better now but it has been a rough few weeks. Two weeks ago she was running toward the front door and tripped and fell into the window sill. She busted her bottom lip and when we took her to the ER they told us that she definitely needed stitched in her bottom lip. The Legacy location also told us that they thought that there was much more damage to her mouth and teeth but that they did not have to doctors to help with this so they sent us to Childrens Dallas. When there they didn't think it was as bad as Legacy had thought so they stitched up her lip and we went home. Two days later I took her to the dentist to have them look at her. He took one look at it and sent us to an oral surgeon right then. She had major damage. Her gums were damaged and the jaw bone was even showing. One of her front teeth was also cracked. The surgeon looked at it and said that one tooth had to be removed and that she needed surgery to do that. He also wanted to take a better look at what other damage may have been done. To make matters worse McKenna also had strep on top of this so we had to wait a week for the surgery. Poor baby was in alot of pain and it just hurt me to see her hurting. This past Tuesday she had the surgery and did great. Unfortunately she did have to loose one of her front teeth and two other teeth are loose and hopefully they will tighten back up but there is a chance that she may loose those as well. Her gums are damaged some and her jaw bone is fractured. They are hopeful that the bone will heal and nothing else will be done. We will be keeping an eye of that for the next several weeks. So that is what we have been dealing with the past few weeks. Please pray for McKenna and for complete healing to her little mouth and teeth. She thinks she is pretty cool that she already lost a tooth. She thinks that she is like the big kids. We are going to get opinions on what to do about that. There are some kiddie partials that can be done but there are pros and cons with those so please pray that we will make the right decision with that when it is time to make that decision. Right now she is still my beautiful little angel that has the cutest toothless grin that I have seen! I will post pics soon! (I have pics of her and her mouth a day after the accident but they are pretty bad and I don't want to gross anyone out so I will not post those) So this is the condensed version of what has been going on with us. Hopefully the next posts will be back to fun things we have been doing!
