So Behind.....Easter Pics!

Well it has been over a month since I have posted anything but things have just been crazy and I have had to prioritize my time and energy and unfortunately blogging didn't make the top list!!! Here are some pictures from Easter!! We had a great Easter and it is so neat to see McKenna growing and enjoying things and it was especially neat to see her start to understand Easter a little more this year. We had many conversations about Jesus dying on the cross for us and His loves for us and others. Everytime we see a cross she still says "look mommy is it the cross that Jesus died on for me!"

AFTER CHURCH WE WENT TO MIMI AND GRANDDAD'S HOUSE FOR LUNCH! UNFORTUNATELY CALEB WAS SICK SO WE DIDN"T GET TO SEE HIM BUT MY GRANDPARENTS, AUNT, UNCLE AND COUSINS AND THEIR KIDDOS CAME TOO!!! WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!

Dallas Blooms!

A couple of weeks ago I took McKenna and my nephew, Caleb, to the Arboretum! We went there with my friend Tammy and her two cute kiddos Stephen and Alden! McKenna had a blast! She loves doing anything with Caleb and she loves spending time with Stephen and Alden too! The flowers were beautiful....if only I had a full time gardener my flower beds would look just as good!! They also had all of these fun little houses that the kids loved playing in. It was such a wonderful day!! Thanks for inviting us along Tammy! We had a great day!!

I have to say this is probably one of my favorite pics of the day! Tammy is a photographer so I had her use my camera and take some of the pictures and she got this one of the two girls! I love the way it shows true joy! McKenna has so much fun whatever she is doing and truly loves all people and I just love that spirit about her. She is truly filled with joy! I hope and pray that she will always have that excitement and will continue to share that with others as she always does!

Fun with Nature

There is a fun park fairly close to us that has everything! There is a fun playground, a lake where you can actually fish, lots of open spaces, picnic table and a fun nature trail! It is a great getaway and you don't even really feel like you are in the big city! We had a fun picnic lunch, played and went on a nature walk. My friend that we went with read about a fun activity to do with kids called a nature bracelet. You get a piece of masking tape and put it around their wrists like with the sticky side up. Then they go and collect leaves, grass, flowers, rocks, just about whatever and put them on their bracelets! McKenna LOVED this and wants to do nature bracelets all of the time now!

Disney On Ice!!

A few weeks ago McKenna and I went with two of her little friends and their mommy's to Disney on Ice! We had so much fun!! I don't know if McKenna had more fun or if I had more fun watching her have so much fun!! She LOVES everything Disney! They had Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Ariel and Friends, Lion King and friends, Lilo and Stitch and Peter Pan and friends! It was a great show and McKenna and the girls loved it. They would clap along and just get so excited when someone new would come out and skate! Here are some pictures from the day!

The cotton candy....let me just say Disney has a good marketing team.....the bag of cotton candy was definitely big enough for all three to share....BUT.....you got a nemo hat with each purchase so we had to get 3 cotton candies at $10 a piece!!! They know that us mommy's can't say no!! and that is how they get us!
