McKenna's First Haircut!

We had many special memories and moments at Disney World and one of those special memories was being able to have McKennas 1st Haircut at the most magical place on Earth!! That is such a special milestone and it was even more special being able to do it at Disney World! At Magic Kingdom there is a little old-timey barber shop in the Main Street area and they are a full operating shop! They specialize in First Haircuts! It is first come first serve so when we got there there were already two people getting their haircut so we had to wait and watch them. We had been talking to McKenna about it and she was excited at first but then when it came to be her turn she wasn't so sure anymore. This cute little boy that was about 6 was so helpful and sweet to McKenna. He was telling her how fun it was and that if she never got her haircut that it would just grow and grow and be too long. The guy that cut her hair sprinkled Mickey confetti and put about 10 Mickey stickers on the chair and that got her attention so she was a little more willing to get in the chair. Once she was in the chair she was great and did such a good job! She was so proud of her new haircut too. When it was all done she also got Mickey Ears that said "first haircut" on the back that she was so proud to wear! It was such a great experience!!

McKenna was so proud to wear her ears!!! What a great keepsake the hat is too! And those of you that know me and how sentimental I can be know that I will hold on to those ears for a very long time!!!
