Birthday weekend and the State Fair!

This weekend has been packed with fun! On Friday Todd took off so that he could spend the day with me and McKenna for my birthday! Last year he took off and we took McKenna to the zoo for the first time. This year I wanted to take her to the fair so we went to the opening day at the State Fair! (Thanks to my mom and Katie for giving us their teacher fair tickets!) We had a great time! McKenna loved all of the animals and was so cute making their noises at them. She would say Horse neigh, pig oink and so on and so on! She is our little chatter box! There was also a little area there where she could be a farmer for the day! She "pretend" fed the animals, watered the trees, milked the cows, planted some seeds and drove a tractor. She had fun and it was so cute watching her do it all. We did most of the animal stuff first thing and after lunch we decided to hit the car show. Well let me just say I just thought McKenna liked the animals.....she LOVED the cars! She was in over stimulation mode! She would run from car to car yelling "cars! red car!, blue car!, yellow car!, big car! little car!" She would go to one car and say open door, climb in and pretend to drive. When she was in that car long enough she would say "nother car" and RUN to another one. She was even climbing in Hummers and Ford F450's. I was amazed at her climbing abilities! We probably stayed in the car show over an hour and finally had to drag her out of there. At the end of the day she was pretty tired. We came home and Todd asked if I wanted to go eat somewhere but all I wanted to do was order pizza and stay at home! With Todds crazy schedule we don't get many nights at home as a family so it was very nice to just be at home! It was a great birthday!
On Saturday we went to Braydens two year birthday party. McKenna had a great time. They have a fort in the back yard and McKenna loved sliding and swinging! It was such a fun birthday party! Happy birthday again Brayden!! That evening we went with my parents and Katie and Josh to one of our favorite restaurants...Pappasitos.... for my birthday dinner! It was very yummy and McKenna loved getting her share of "ta-tas" (tortillas!) Thanks to everyone for making my birthday a great one!!
