Rowlett Egg Hunt!

A couple weeks before Easter we met Katie, Josh and the boys at the Rowlett egg hunt! We had so much fun! There were eggs everywhere! They also had bounce houses, yummy food, and many more activities! Each year McKenna gets better at these egg hunts! It is crazy how many eggs she can get in her basket in such a short amount of time!!

Pretty girl all set to hunt eggs!

Garden Fun!

This year we decided to try our hand at a little home garden. My dad made for us this wonderful divided gardening area for us to plant the garden in. McKenna was so excited! She loves to help out in the yard and loved helping getting the garden going! She just didn't understand why it takes so long for the veggies to grow! For our first try we didn't do so bad either. We had tomatoes the grew as well as cucumbers and carrots! The onions, bell peppers and zucchini didn't turn out so well though!

Landry's Birthday party!

One of McKenna's best little friends had a birthday party at Sweet and Sassy!! McKenna loves this place and this is where we go to get her hair trimmed and get all "fancy" as she calls it! For the party they dress up the little girls in princess dresses, fix their hair, paint their nails and put on make-up! Let me tell you the girls love it!! Once ready they have them all walk down the runway and they introduce them and say a little something about each girl! It is so cute! After the runway show they had cake and then a BIG surprise! They all got to go in a limo ride around the parking lot! What a treat! I think my first limo ride was to prom in high school and here McKenna is riding in one at 4!! They had Hannah Montana playing and the girls danced and sang and had such a good time! McKenna says that she wants to have her 5 year old party here. The only bad thing is that you can only invite 8 girls so I told McKenna she would have to really cut down her list. She didn't like that and didn't really understand why she couldn't invite all 25 that she invted to her 4 year old party!! So we shall see....we may be back for her 5 year old party...unless she changes her mind which a 4 year old does very often!!

Getting her nails done!

Such beautiful little princesses!

The sweet birthday girl!

Sweet friends!

Ready for the limo ride...just look at those poses!

Jammin to Hannah Montana in the limo!!

One of my most favorite places...

The Dallas Arboretum!! I love it here especially in the spring and fall! This past year Katies in-laws bought them a family pass to the Arboretum. Since the boys are still under 3 they get in free so Katie would take McKenna and I and let us be her additional people that she is able to get in with her pass! So anytime they wanted to go we happily went along! It is so fun to just go and spend the day here. The kids run around and chase bubbles, look at the beautiful flowers and just enjoy the outdoors! So here come the pictures! Watch out.....I love arboretum pictures and this is just a sampling of the many I took!!

Valentines Fun!

Valentines Day is a favorite of McKennas! I think it might have to do with the amount of pink that is used for this holiday!!! Her little school had a sweet little valentines day party that she had so much fun at! She also had a blast the the Bop Hop! Our church has an annual Bop Hop each valentines day for the preschoolers! This year they had preschool karaoke! Lets just say that McKenna LOVED this! Singing and being on stage...two of her favorite things!!! You will have to check out the video of her singing!! It was so cute!!

A wonderful Snow!

Yes I know it is August and yes I know it is 105 degrees in Dallas today but I am bound and determined to update this blog! So here I go at trying!!

On February 11th we had an amazing snow! We have been so blessed this year with such good snow. Sometimes I had to convince myself that we really were still in Texas! Well like all children McKenna loved the snow!! I think she would have stayed out there all day if I had of let her! This snow was also really good snowman making snow! So of course we had to build frosty with Mickey ears and all! We also tried our hand at fresh snow ice cream! I have wonderful memories of making this as a kid and I wanted McKenna to have that memory too! She loved it of course and I have to admit I thought it was pretty good too!!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Do you ever feel like there are just things in life that you will never get caught up on??? Well for me one of those things is this blog and scrapbooks. I have this horrible image of me sitting in a retirement center at 85 with all of my other friends and they are scrapbooking all of there "senior citizen outings" and I am still on McKennas 2 year old scrapbook (which by the way I am not even that caught up yet!). Well all I can do is try so I am going to try and add some to the blog so I atleast have it documented so when I am 85 and working on scrapbooks I will atleat remember what went on so I will know what to journal!
For Valentines day the city of Frisco hosts a Daddy Daughter Dance. McKenna and Todd went to it this year and had so much fun! They went with McKenna friend Rachel and her daddy Mr. Blake. Melissa (Rachels mommy) and I ordered the girls little wrist corsages! They were so cute and the girls felt so special wearing them. Mckenna loved to dress up and get "fancy" so this was her cup of tea! We curled her hair, put on make-up, the whole bit! Even though I wasn't "allowed" to come in I had fun getting her ready and seeing the excitement on her face! During the dance Melissa and I hit the mall for some coffee at Nordstroms and then picked them up when it was over. Since they were all dressed up we then all went to dinner! Everyone had a great time....especially McKenna!
